Rebecca Hahn of Clarkston, president of Oakland Town Hall, is thrilled with the speakers lined up for the 2013-2014 lecture season.

The series begins, Oct. 9, with Dickie Arbiter Lvo, British monarchy expert, former press secretary to Queen Elizabeth II, and manager of media relations for Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana
It continues on Nov. 13 with Rochelle Pennington, newspaper columnist and author. Gary Walters, chief usher at the White House from 1986-2007 who served seven presidents, from President Ronald Reagan to President George W. Bush, is on April 9.
The series wraps up on May 14 with Clint Van Zandt, hostage negotiator with the FBI for 25 years, including the Branch Davidian siege with David Koresh in Waco, Texas, in 1993.
‘Clint is new to the lecture circuit ? we’re excited to have him,? Hahn said.
Each lecture includes a luncheon, said Peggy Combs of Waterford, luncheon chairman.
‘We have a diversity of selections to meet everybody’s tastes,? Combs said.
‘We encourage everyone to stay for lunch and the question-and-answer session with the speaker after lunch,? Hahn said.
Lectures start at 10:30 a.m. at the St. George Cultural Center, 43816 Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Hills. Admission is $145 for all four lectures and lunches; $40 per lecture and lunch; and $25 lecture only.
