Clarkston City Council discussed possible police millage ballot language at the April 26 meeting.
The two options presented was a proposal to levy the current 13.2 city operating millage to a rate of 15 mills or the second was to levy to 20 mills, neither were a direct ‘police millage.?
After 90 minutes the board opted to table the discussion and have City Attorney Tom Ryan write a separate millage only for police, to be considered by the council at the May 10 board meeting.
