The students and faculty at Clear Lake Elementary are taking part in the Abitibi Paper Retriever Recycling Program to promote environmental awareness.
Beginning immediately, anyone in the community can go into the rear parking lot of Clear Lake School 24-hours a day and drop off unwanted papers in the yellow/green depository bin. On a regularly scheduled basis, Abitibi Recycling will empty the bin and the papers will be recycled into newsprint used by area newspapers.
The following types of clean and dry paper are suitable for recycling: newspapers, magazines, shopping catalogs, office and school papers, and junk mail.
Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate in this innovative program to recycle paper products. Local investment can help save landfill space, clean up our environment and teach our next generation the importance of resource conservation.
