The Fourth-grade Battle of the Books program took place April 14 at the Oxford High School Performing Arts Center.
Battle of the Books is a collaboration between the Oxford Public Library and Oxford Schools.
Eighteen teams participated from four elementary schools. The teams all read the same five books to prepare for the Battle. At the battle, 15 questions were asked about the books.
The winning team was The Golden Reading Cats from Clear Lake Elementary.
They won with a perfect score of 75 points by answering every question correctly.
Best Team Name went to The Guardians of the Books from Clear Lake and the Best Costume went to the All Around the World Readers from Oxford Elementary.
