A repair on the clock in downtown Clarkston could have cost the city of the village of Clarkston over $6,000, but for DPW manager Jason Miller, it was just part of his job.
City Manager Carol Eberhardt said Jason quickly figured out why the clock stopped and quickly repaired it.
During a city council meeting on Sept. 22, Eberhardt said she wanted to thank Jason in public for his work on the clock.
Eberhardt said the DPW also worked very hard after a large storm to clear many downed trees and debris. After cleaning up storm debris, the DPW also worked hard on preparing the downtown area for festivals including Taste of Clarkston.
Council meeting attendee and downtown resident Don Frayer, as well as several members of council, also praised the DPW for their hard work.
