Oakland County Commissioner Eric Wilson (R-Lake Orion), has been elected chair of Oakland County Jail Population Management Task Force. He along with fellow commissioners: Helaine Zack, Task Force Vice Chair, Board Vice Chair Hugh D. Crawford and Eileen Kowall will serve.

Oakland County Sheriff’s Department
Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office

Community Corrections Manager
The task force was created in August 2004. Every one involved in the process is assessing the need for building a new jail, as well as looking at all alternative options associated with this project. By March 2005, recommendations of these groups and the task force will be completed.
‘The willingness of all stakeholders to volunteer their time to tackle this issue speaks volumes of how various branches of government can work together to create effective policy,? Wilson said.
