The Brandon Township Library will present “Miz Rosie,” who will present a series of stories that explore the ethnic and cultural diversity of our country.

Alzheimer’s workshop?
A representative from the Alzheimer’s Association will conduct a free caregiver workshop from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the Brandon Senior Center.
Participants will learn how to tell if it’s normal aging or Alzheimer’s, how to respond to the needs of someone with dementia, etc.

Blood drive?
The American Red Cross will conduct a blood collection drive from 1 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the St. Mark’s Parish Center, 7296 Gale Road, Atlas Township.
Everyone who comes in to donate will be entered in a drawing for a gift certificate for one month’s free membership at Total Body Fitness, donated by Crystal Sirignano.

Cancer support?
The Ortonville Cancer Support Group will meet at the Brandon Township Library at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21. The purpose of the group is to provide support for cancer survivors and their families and friends.
Those with ideas for topics to discuss or speakers who would benefit the group should bring these ideas to the meeting.
Women’s club?
The Ortonville Women’s Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 at the Brandon Senior Center.
Lynda Jacobs will conduct a genealogy discussion.
Youth coalition?
The Brandon Youth Coalition, which connects community organizations that help the youth of Brandon, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 in the parish hall of St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
District Judge Dana Fortinberry will speak about creating a peer mediation process in secondary schools.

Water carnival?
The Brandon Aquatic and Fitness Center will celebrate winter with a water carnival from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24.
There will be midway games, a cake walk and cotton candy and pizza available for purchase.

Chill Friday?
The Brandon Library will present a program for children in fifth grade and older at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24. The staff will show a movie and serve popcorn. No registration is necessary.
Children’s crusade?
Goodrich Assembly of God will host Eddie & Company, one of the few full-time traveling ministries in the United States, for a series of meetings Sunday, Jan. 26 through Wednesday, Jan. 29.
The event will include presentations of the Gospel with young children in mind and fun encounters complete with puppets, clowns, games and more.
Presentations will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
