Concert at CHS to feature several vocal harmony groups

Anyone with an appreciation for vocal ability will enjoy the upcoming concert hosted by the Big Chief Barbershop Chorus. The Pontiac-Waterford chapter of the group will is holding ‘Jukebox Classics,? their 61st Annual Harmony Show on Nov. 5 in the Clarkston High School Auditorium.
The event features performances from three different groups: the Big Chief Chorus, the Clarkston High School Madrigals and the quartet Three Men and a Tenor.
The BCC currently has 60 members that live throughout Oakland County. The group of men is dedicated to the preservation of quartet singing and barbershop style. Featured quartets and group members will performe barbershop classics and music from the Doo-wop era.
This year’s special guest is Three Men and a Tenor. Their performance features upbeat music, choreography, comedy and audience interaction.
The members of the CHS Madrigals received high praise for their performances at festivals throughout the country. The group recently performed at their own fall concert.
The event begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults and $13 for children under the age of 12. Seating is limited. To order tickets, contact Jim Owens at 248-682-4311.
