Picture the fun of carnival rides, horse shows, and a watermelon-eating contest.
That’s the theme of the Oakland County Fair this year, July 8-13 at Springfield Oaks County Park.
The fair will have its traditional 4-H events, animal exhibits and carnival rides as well as several new features.
Each day of the 4-H fair features contests and events with discounts and coupons available online and at local businesses.
Visitors can get unlimited rides passes for $17-20 depending on the day, and 50-cent bottomless glasses of chocolate milk. Parking costs $10 per vehicle.
The fair began Tuesday and runs until 9 p.m. on Sunday.
