“Peace out”

While patrolling, deputies observed a three car vehicle accident in Groveland Township. They advised dispatch to notify the Michigan State Police and Groveland Township Fire Department. There were two occupants that were bleeding from their hands and arms and deputies gave them bandages to help stop the bleeding. After about ten minutes, an MSP car drove up to the scene. Deputies began to flag the trooper to park his vehicle in the roadway to help with traffic, and the trooper gave a ‘peace out’ hand gesture and drove away, leaving Brandon deputies at the scene. Deputies advised dispatch that they would take the accident since MSP drove away. About 20 minutes later, another MSP officer arrived on the scene and stated he did not know who that trooper was that drove by. He then asked if he could go because deputies looked like they had the accident taken care of and he had a call in Holly Township. Deputies took the accident report.
