Lake Orion’s boys cross country team has been busy and successful the last two weekends.
On Saturday, Sept. 19 they won the highly competitive Nike Holly Invitational, scoring 65 points to Lakelands? 110 and Rochester Adams? 112 pts.?
There were 18 teams competing.?
Medaling for the Dragons were Andrew Lorant, who finished second, Jacob Arenz, in seventh, Matthew Arenz was 12th, Jack Everts was 17th and Jacob Ernatt, 27th.
This past Friday, September 25th they ran at the James Cleverly Invite in Anchor Bay, finishing second with 45 points to the number one team in the state at this time, Novi, who won with 35 points.
All seven varsity athletes medaled, with Lorant being the individual winner, along with Matthew Arenz, fourth, Jacob Arenz, ninth, Everts, 13th, Ernatt, 18th , Ryan Mulcahy, 23rd and Bobby Beggs, 27th.
The junior varsity squad took home the third place trophy at the Old Skool Classic hosted by Armada High School on Saturday.?
