A 51-year-old Flint man, who had previously been arrested for retail fraud in the Baldwin Commons shopping complex, was caught once again after a store clerk recognized him.
According to an Oakland County Sheriff’s Department report, an employee at Party America recognized the man, who was carrying a large green duffel bag, and phoned in a suspicious person call to deputies on Aug 27.
The man had previously been advised not to return to the area or he would face trespassing charges.
Deputies confronted the man and discovered a concealed weapon and drug paraphernalia on his person.
His duffel bag contained items from three stores in the complex, all of which he acknowledged were from their respective stores, and hadn’t been paid for.
The man was arrested for retail fraud, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing. He also had multiple warrants outstanding for retail fraud.
