The Lake Orion Community Schools Dragon Guided Activities Program (GAP) held their inaugural Dragon GAP NFL/Pepsi Punt, Pass and Kick competition on Sept. 17 at the Lake Orion High School Soccer Stadium.
The National Football League, Pepsi Corporation and the Michigan Recreation and Parks Association were the key sponsors of the event, and other events like it throughout the state.
Top place winners for the Dragon GAP Punt, Pass and Kick were:
For the Boys 8-9-year-old division, first place was Griffin Vanlear; second place Hunter Gallero and third place Andre Garrison.
For the Boys 10-11 division, first place was Derek DeLaura, second place Jacob Wysocki and third place Damion Wilbon.
For the Girls 10-11 division, first place was Grace Vanlear.
For the Boys 12-13 division, first place was Devon Grennon, second place Tyler Grant and third place Chris Young.
For the Girls 12-13 division, first place was Jackie Gipe, and second place Brittany Walker.
For the Boys 14-15 division, first place was Thomas Hunsanger.
Age group winners of the competition advance to the NFL/Pepsi Punt, Pass and Kick Sectionals, being held Oct. 8 at Shell Park in Waterford.
The top five point scorers from the sectional competition throughout the state will compete at Ford Field, during the halftime of the Detroit Lions game on Dec. 4.
