The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of prescription fraud at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Lapeer Road on Jan. 30.
According to an OCSD report, the pharmacy had taken a phone order for Hydrococlone, a cheap vicadin.
The pharmacist said he called back to the doctor’s office that supposedly had called in the order, and spoke with a woman there who told him that no one in the office had called in a prescription for the subject.
The subject was an 18-year-old Oxford woman. Both the Rite Aid pharmacist and the doctor refuse to fill prescriptions for the woman.
