The Orion Art Center hosted the seventh annual Joan Brace Scholarship Competition award ceremony on April 12 at the art center. Over $4000 was awarded to graduating high school seniors in school districts in the north Oakland county area.
These seniors will be majoring in fine arts at the collegiate level next fall. Twenty-nine student artists from Lake Orion, Oxford, Clarkston and Stoney Creek High Schools participated in the competition with 10 artists taking home scholarship money. Renowned artist, Michael Curtis of Troy juried the competition.
