Oxford/Orion FISH’s Thanksgiving food drive was quite the success.
According to Pantry Coordinator Val Cass, the group netted 17,000 pounds, up from last year.
‘That really surprised me in view of the economy,? she said. ‘I was absolutely delighted we got so much food.?
Thanks to the drive, FISH was able to pack and distribute 209 Thanksgiving baskets to local needy folks ? 48 more baskets than last year. ? CJC
