The Lake Orion High School forensics team qualified nine team members for the regional competition, at the district tournament.
The district tournament was held at Utica High School on April 6. The regional will be at Birmingham Groves on April 16.
Qualifiing for Orion was Lindsay Slavick, first place, Oratory; Julie Sabo, first place, Prose; Dana Spear, first place, Informative 9/10; Kristin Limback, first place, Informative Open; Katie Valko and Stephanie Alspach, second place, Duo.
Also qualifing were: Kyle Halverson, second place, Oratory; Matt Hood, third place, Storytelling; Shannon Yaroch, third place, Informative 9/10.
Qualifiing for two alternate postitions for the regional were Mallory Malloy, Sales; and Julia Prevost, Informative Open
