The Clarkston Foundation and Suburban Ford of Waterford are pleased to present the selection process used to select the 2002-03 “Teacher of the Year.”
The outstanding Classroom Teacher Recognition Program and the Teacher of the Year designation will alternate yearly between elementary and secondary teachers with secondary being in the 2002-03 school year.
Students, former students, parents, colleagues, administrators or members of the general public may nominate teachers. An impartial selection committee comprised of local citizens selects the “Teacher of the Year,” from those nominated through a careful screening process using specific criteria.
This year’s Clarkston Foundation/Suburban Ford of Waterford “Teacher of the Year” selection will be announced on May 9. The “Teacher of the Year” will receive the free use of a new Ford car of their choice for a full year.
Nomination forms will be available at all Clarkston schools, the Board of Education office, Suburban Ford of Waterford and Clarkston State Bank beginning March 10. All nomination forms must be returned (or postmarked) with all supporting materials and documentation to the Clarkston Foundation, P.O. Box 711, Clarkston, 48347 by April 10, 2003.
