Orion Township residents will be served for at least four more years by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department.
Township trustees agreed on Oct. 20 to authorize the supervisor and clerk to sign on a new contract with the OCSD on behalf of the township. The new contract runs from 2004-2008, and reflects wage increases for patrol officers, included in the OCSD’s 2004 proposed budget. There were no additional officers or changes requested for 2004.
