Clarkston United Methodist Church hosts its second annual Trunk or Treat 5K Walk/Run, 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 24. New this year is a One Mile Fun Run, starting at 9:15 a.m.
Entry fees for 5K events are $20 through Oct. 17, T-shirt guaranteed; $25 through race day, T-shirts while supplies last. For Fun Run, $5, T-shirts available for purchase while supplies last.
All proceeds benefit Emily Schmidt, a 7-year-old member of the church suffering from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
The course starts and ends at the church, 6600 Waldon Road, winding through local streets. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each age category.
