Absent voter ballots for the Aug. 3 Primary Election are now available in the Orion Township clerk’s office.
To obtain an application, call the office at 391-0304, ext. 104, or visit the office at 2525 Joslyn between 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Mon.-Fri. Each voter must fill out an application for the absent voter ballot, and the clerk’s office must either hand each voter the ballot, or place the ballot in the mail.
The last day on which absent voter ballots can be mailed is July 31, and the clerk’s office will be open 8 a.m.-2 p.m. for absent voter balloting only. Voters may also vote an absent voter ballot in the clerk’s office on Aug. 2, until 4 p.m.
Orion Township will be mailing a sample ballot for the Aug. 3 Primary Election to each household with a registered voter. The sample ballots will be arriving shortly.
Precinct location reminder cards informing voters of any changes in their precinct, or reminding them that their precinct has returned to its permanent location, will arrive prior to the Aug. 3 election.
Voters in Precincts 1 and 2 will also receive new voter ID cards informing them of their new precinct location.
