Girls lacrosse players honored at banquet

Several members of the girls? varsity lacrosse team graciously accepted trophies honoring their perfomances this season.
The season-ending banquet took place at Paint Creek Country Club on Tuesday, June 2. The varsity team was congratulated for improving five games since the previous year.
Eleven varsity players received the Oakland Activities Association (OAA) Scholar Athlete Award for having a grade point average 3.5 or higher.
Jessica Smude, sophomore attack wing, accepted the OAA JV Sportsmanship Award. Ronnie Booth, sophomore attack, received the OAA All League Team Award.
Sarah Cech, junior midfield player, was given the OAA Varsity Sportsmanship Award.
‘I’m honored that I was picked out of all the girls on varsity lacrosse for the sportsmanship award. This whole team has a lot of class and that is important when we represent Lake Orion High School and Lake Orion as a whole,? Cech said.
