Last week’s unseasonably warm weather – on Friday it hit 50 degrees Fahrenheit – brought out golf diehards across the region, including those in Lake Orion. The parking lot at Bald Mountain Golf Course on Kern Road had at least 25 cars and plenty of enthusiastic players on the course enjoying an unexpected round of golf. ‘I’ve golfed on Dec. 22 before, but never in January,? said Oakland Township resident Ben Boggs (above, putting). ‘I’m a little surprised I’m hitting it pretty good, since I haven’t played in a while.?
