Goodrich announces snow removal plan

Goodrich – When the snow starts piling up, Goodrich streets will be cleared according to location.
Priority I roads are those which open up to the schools, and will be plowed and salted first and could be done during overtime, said Goodrich Village Administrator Jakki Sidge.
Priority II roads open to fire runs, will be maintained only after Priority I streets, and can also be cleared on overtime.
All others are considered Priority III, and will be cleared last. Overtime maintenance is approved only at the discretion of the administrator or the Department of Public Works supervisor.
Priority I roads: Hegel East, Erie, Seneca, Pontiac, Clarence, and Cemetery.
Priority II roads: Clarence south of Hegel, Huron, Seneca south of Hegel, Ridge, and Hegel West.
Priority III roads: subdivisions, The Grove, Hawes, Putnam, Shuman, Hufsteader, and Dutch.
Road clearing begins when four inches of snow has accumulated or predicted, said Sidge. Salt or sand application will be completed on an as-needed basis, according to road priority.
