Four different Goodrich varsity boys soccer players scored Tuesday, Oct. 10 as the Martians clinched the Genesee Area Conference title with a 4-1 win against Durand.
The host Martians, who clinched their second straight GAC title, are now 13-2 overall and 9-0 in the league.
David Garr and Steve Harlow scored early in the first half to give the Martians a 2-0 lead. After the Railroaders narrowed the Goodrich lead to 2-1, Dan Eisinger and Nick Arnold put the capper on the Goodrich victory with two goals later in the first half.
Senior goalie Andy Krause made 11 saves for the Martians.
Five days earlier, the Martians earned a 5-1 win against Fenton. Harlow tallied a hat trick for the Martians, while Bobby Short and Eisinger scored one goal each.
The Martians had two regularly scheduled league games left as of press time, Oct. 12 at Montrose and Oct. 13 at home against Swartz Creek.
