The Wildcat grapplers took a hard blow this weekend at the team state tournament after being defeated by the Davison Cardinals 47-16 in the semi-finals.
Winners in the Davison match-up included Ben Line (215), Zach Wood (285), Jacob Call (103), and Wesley Maskill (160).
Prior to meeting Davison, the Wildcats defeated Grandville High School in the quarter finals 32-23.
Winners included Wood (285), Alex Hrisopoulos (112), Collin Campbell (125), Edwin Schlickenmeyer (140), Zeb Throne (160), Maskill (171), Grant Krause (189) and Line (215).
Individual state finals will take place at the Palace of Auburn Hills Feb. 27 through March 1.
