Gregory H. Zmich, age 74 of Hope, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at his residence. The son of the late Boniface and Henrietta (Koczara) Zmich was born on October 21, 1942 in Detroit, MI. Gregory served his country in The United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He then went to work for the Ford Motor Company as a design engineer, retiring on January 1, 1996 after 33 years of service. On July 31, 1987, Gregory married the former Shelley Oswald in Midland, MI. He enjoyed the players club at the casino, gardening and fishing.
Gregory is survived by his wife of 29 ½ years, Shelley Zmich; sons, Greg (Christine) Zmich of Saline, MI, Jeff (Kari) Zmich of Goodrich, MI, Justin (Nana) Macartney of Germantown, TN, Jason Macartney of the Philippines; daughter, Michelle Zmich of Farmington, MI; grandchildren Courtney, Tyler, Sydney, Taylor, Vaughn, Jenna, Justin, Jordan, Darren, Midori, Zack, Muhammad, Sophia, Christina, Anna; brother, Johnny (Holly) Zmich; sisters, Marilyn (Dick) Hore, and Paulette Zmich-Keating.
