Groveland Twp.- After the road work near the entrance of XXX along Grange Hall Road east of Jossman Road was completed earlier this fall several township residents along with Bob DePalma, township supervisor expressed concern regarding the need for a guardrail
Officials from the Road Commission for Oakland County along with engineers consulted with DePalma on Nov. 10 near the site to discuss the safety issues regarding the site.
‘Our initial response was less guardrail since the angle and slope of the curve were reduced,? said Craig Bryson, RCOC public information officer. The road commission has guidelines as to when guardrails are needed and in this case we changed our minds. It’s a matter of safety.?
The 150 foot guardrail was paid for from RCOC funds and completed on Nov. 21.
