The Orion Township Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Guest House on Joslyn Road on May 1.
Units responded sometime after 10 p.m., as their was some initial confusion when the call first came in, according to assistant fire chief Bob Smith.
‘It first came in as an unknown fire in the woods,? he said. ‘It was one of their villas. It was fully engulfed when we arrived.?
Smith said the multi-tenant unit, unoccupied at the time of the fire, was a complete loss. He said an investigation into the cause of the fire by Oakland County is still pending.
‘There were about 10 units there, unoccupied,? he said. ‘There was a comment that someone had spent the weekend there, but they’d left.?
Smith said it was his understanding that the units were for visitors and were not permanently occupied.
