Hazel June Wilfong, 99, passed away on August 23, 2016 at KMHC-LTC. She was born on June 23, 1917 in Newton, Kansas, to the late William and Bessie (Pletcher) Alumbaugh.

June is survived by her daughter, Joan Knauf of Kalkaska, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Norma) Wiggins of Attica, Cynthia (Marvin) Coy of Rapid City, Joel Wiggins of Kalkaska, Sandra Eggert of Boyne City, Kim Hahn of Perrington, Linda (John) VanDerGraff of Lake Orion, Susan (Joe) Kearns of Empire, Brian (Lisa) Dennison of Ortonville; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.

June was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles in 2013; son, Charles Robert (Sharon) Wilfong in 2013; and daughter, Janet S. (Jerry) Inscho in 2016.

June married Charles Wilfong on September 11, 1935 in Grand Blanc. Together they enjoyed 78 long and happy years. June enjoyed being a home maker her entire life. She lived in Pontiac until Chuck retired and they moved to Kalkaska in 1984. She was active in the Kalkaska Senior Center along with her husband.

Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy on September 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
