A public hearing on the cost estimate for the Lake Orion Canals #2 SAD (not related to the $7,200 worth of weed treatment approved in an earlier action by the township board) will be held on June 6 at 8 p.m.
The SAD is to improve quality of the canals by control of nuisance aquatic weeds and algae. The total set-up fees are $1,024, with yearly costs plus $400 application fee set at: $14,565 for 2006-2008; $14,990 for 2009-2011, and $15,428 for 2012-2014.
The cost for 2015 of the 10-year SAD is $15,428.
