Members of the Village of Lake Orion, the Lake Orion Police Department and the Lake Orion Fire Department gathered on Monday, to pay tribute to the memory of long-time dispatcher, Deb Waldo.
She served as a 911 dispatch supervisor from 1974-2002.
As a living memorial, a Crimson King Maple was planted and marked with a memorial plaque in Waldo’s memory.
‘This is Deb’s day,? said Village Manager JoAnn Van Tassel. ‘We’re here to remember good times and honor her.?
Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh said that Deb will be remembered for her service, her loyalty and her friendship.
Waldo’s memorial tree is located outside of the Village Hall, near the rear parking lot.
