Lake Orion was featured in the October issue of The Water Newsletter and provided some interesting information about the lake.
Lake Orion is 470 acres. It has almost 32 acres of islands so the surface is 438 acres. The lake has a maximum depth of 80 feet, a main depth of 17.3 feet and contains 7,587 acre feet of water.
It has 56,287 feet of shoreline, not including the shorelines of the islands.
The lake flushes once every 142 days on an average. The elevation of the lake is 985 feet above sea level.
