Students from Oakview Middle School were all wet on Oct. 1 after they spent several hours doing water quality testing in the Paint Creek near Children’s Park in downtown Lake Orion. Oakview students were some of the thousands from across Macomb and Oakland Counties who will spend the month of October studying the quality of water in the Clinton River and its tributaries. The project is part of the Stream Leaders Program, the water-quality monitoring program coordinated by the Clinton River Watershed Council.
