Road Commission for Oakland County hosts a public information meeting Tuesday, Jan. 8, about the planned 2014 paving of the gravel portion of Oak Hill Road from Dixie Highway to east of Jossman Road on the north border of Springfield Township.
The meeting will be from 4-7 p.m. at Groveland Township Fire Station No. 1, 14645 Dixie Highway. The meeting will be open-house format with no formal presentation ? walk in any to ask questions of RCOC staff or review project information.
The project will involve asphalt paving of a one-mile gravel portion of Oak Hill Road, with some concrete curbs, gutters, and storm sewers. The $1.9 million project is expected to start in the spring of 2014 and be completed that fall.
Eighty percent comes from federal funds, 10 percent from RCOC, and 5 percent each from Springfield and Groveland townships.
