Kelly Sexton makes sergeant

Former Oxford Police Officer Kelly Sexton, now with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, was promoted to the rank of sergeant July 11.
Sexton joined the Sheriff’s Department in’February 2000 after serving in the Oxford Police Department for five years.?
Since’her employment with the Sheriff’s Department, Kelly has been assigned to the’Patrol Services Division working’at the Oxford and Oakland sub-stations,’along with being a C.R.T.?(Contract Reinforcement Team) member.?
In February 2003,’Sexton was assigned to the Aviation Unit as a pilot-in-training.? She successfully completed her Rotor Wing training at Bijan Aviation, and became certified as a’helicopter pilot.??
Sexton is certified in the Eurocopter A-Star, a turbine powered helicopter, and has logged’just over 700 flight hours.?
As a result of her promotion to sergeant, Sexton’has been re-assigned to the Corrective Services Division where she will begin her command experience.?
Sexton has been married for 21 years and is raising 2 children with her husband in Metamora Township in Lapeer County.
