Kidnapper goes on wild ride

A 41-year-old Orion man is facing a variety of charges after allegedly kidnapping his girlfriend and taking her on a long car ride late last Thursday night.
According to an Oakland County Sheriff’s Department report, Ronnie Legg, Jr. faces carjacking, felonious assault and domestic violence charges, among others.
The victim said Legg left her residence at the Waldon Lakes Apartments to get gas for his vehicle and returned home over an hour later, appearing to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
When she refused to give him money, Legg began breaking things in the home and forced her to go for a ride with him at knife-point.
Shortly before 3 a.m. Legg stopped to use a pay phone in Auburn Hills and he left the car running, allowing the victim to gain control of the vehicle and drive home.
Legg was arrested a short time later by Auburn Hills Police and transported to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital.
