(Left to right) Blanche Sims Elementary School parent Sheri Lindsay, school counselor Lara Sebert, and parent Tammy Chartrand, along with other volunteers, drove down to Kmart headquarters in Troy last week to pick up wrapped and unwrapped Christmas presents for the school’s Adopt-A-Family Program for Christmas. Sebert said a van with gifts also came to the school a month ago. Blanche Sims plans on distributing some of the gifts to other schools who are involved in adopting families for the holidays. Chuck Eaton, manager of supply/purchasing, was the Kmart contact. Brad Jacobsen of Jacobsen’s Flowers also donated the use of several vans to make the trip to Troy.
