Brandon’s girls golf team is now on the plus side in the win column.
On April 29, Brandon defeated Avondale 205-242 in a matchup at Goodrich Country Club, improving to 4-2 overall.
Laura Kwiatkowski led the Blackhawks with a round of 41, while Abby Galey was next with 52. Casey Nesterowich (54) and Tiffany Harding (55) rounded out the Brandon scoring.
One day earlier at Lapeer Country Club, the Blackhawks earned their first league win of the season with a 210-253 victory against Lapeer West. Brandon is now 1-2 in Flint Metro League play.
Again, Kwiatkowski was Brandon’s leading golfer with a round of 44, while Galey shot a round of 49, Nesterowich 56, and Becca Scherer 61.
The Blackhawks finished eighth out of 16 teams at the Hartland Best Ball Invitational April 22 at Dunham Hills, earning a 282 score.
Brandon’s team of Kwiatkowski and Jessica Laviolette finished with a best ball score of 84, good for sixth place out of 49 duos at the invite.
Scherer and Harding earned a score of 102 (18th), while Galey and Nesterowich also shot 102 (30th).
