Lady Cagers lost their first game of the season last week to Southfield-Lathrup in an overtime thriller.
The Lady Chargers put nine points on the board during the extra period and the Clarkston Girls Varsity Basketball team was only able to score one point on the home team to end the game, 52-44.
Clarkston finished three quarters 19 points behind Lathrup, 40-21. They rallied 12 points on the team and defense kept them to only three points to send the OAA Red game into a tie.
Megan Hastings and Delaney Kenny scored 14 points each and boosted the Lady Wolves with 3-pointers. Kenny scored one and Hastings had three for the game.
Anna Manilla added six points.
The Lady Wolves beat Rochester on Jan. 31, 54-14.
Erin Davenport led the team with 13 points and one 3-pointer. Kenny added 12 points to the board and Hastings had 11 points and two 3-point shots. Christina Jokisch had seven points and one field goal.
The girls open this week with a 14-1 record as they faced Avondale on Tuesday. They head to West Bloomfield on Friday.
JV begins at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.
