The Lake Orion boys? swim and dive team’s five-meet league winning streak came to an end earlier this month, but it still has an impressive 5-1 record for the season.?
The Dragons hope for a strong finish to capture the league title this winter.?
Lake Orion plays host to the OAA Championship Meet on February 19-21 and a win there guarantees them at least a share of the title.
? In the meantime, several Lake Orion swimmers are preparing for the invitation-only Oakland County Championship swim meet, held January 31-February 1.
? Dragons who have already qualified include: Devon Nowicki, DJ Seeds, Tim Seeds, Brendan Foxlee, Shane Ciora, Craig Matola and Jack Angus.?
In addition, Nowicki has qualified to participate individually in the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 100 breast stroke in the MHSAA State Swim Meet to be held at Saginaw State University on March 7-8.
? He will join DJ Seeds, Angus and Matola, who have already qualified for the state meet in the 200 medley relay.
