The Lake Orion girls? lacrosse powerhouse is seeking to take another run at an OAA Blue Division title.
The lady Dragons are undefeated this season in the OAA and hope to continue the trend, according to third-year coach Ronnie Booth.
‘We expect to have a good season. We have high expectations,? Booth said. ‘We are a little on the young side but that is good.?
The team is heavily stacked with eight juniors but also has some experience in its seven seniors. There are three sophomores and Booth said at least three of the girls will play college lacrosse.
Last week the girls rolled past OAA competitor West Bloomfield, 22-8. On Monday of this week, the lady Dragons beat Rochester, 18-11.
Juniors Darcy Muns, Rachel Klebba, freshman Allie Lazzara, and senior Katie Raker will lead the team offensively this season, said Booth.
On defense the team will be anchored by juniors Tryna Gladstone and Lillian Antonelli, and senior Viktoria Basso. The goalkeeper is senior Alannah Peash.
The team captains are Viktoria Basso and Katie Raker.
