DEVLIN, LAURA ALICE of Ortonville; died April 17, 2018.  She was 81. 

Born in Jackson, Michigan on March 6, 1937 to John Freeland and Dorris Charlotte (nee: Longbrake) Ward.  She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Don) Taylor; son, Douglas (Diana) Devlin; three grandchildren, Danielle (Justin) Devlin Canoy, Alana Taylor and Stacey (Ralph) Ford; one great granddaughter, Liliana Barton; one sister, Phyllis Given-Mulligan; special friend, Mel Bair; she was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Roger Devlin in 1983.  Laura was a Nascar super fan, with a nickname of “Hotrod” from her highschool days. She enjoyed traveling to see lighthouses and spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. Laura was locally known from her many years of employment at Rite-Aid. Memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2018 at VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME–ORTONVILLE 135 South St., Ortonville. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 22 from 3:00 p.m. till time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Humane Society or to the family.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
