Springfield Oaks County Park hosted the annual project RED field trip recently for local schools.
Project RED educates children on the food, fuel and fiber products that are grown and produced in Michigan. Seven stations were set up for the children to visit including: goat milking, the importance of trees in the environment, sheep shearing, horses, planting and growing seeds, grains and different types of birds. The stations were made up of games, discussions and demonstrations.
Oakland County Farm Bureau sponsored the event.
