Third-graders at Clear Lake Elementary have been learning about Native Americans in Michigan, so it seemed only ‘natural? for a naturalist to visit them.
Sasha Kodet, from the Seven Ponds Nature Center in Dryden, visited the school Friday, along with many fun Native American artifacts, like animal skins and primitive tools.
Students also learned how Native Americans made fire, clothing, and learned fun games like ‘Flinch,? the object of which is to not flinch when some pretends to throw a pouch at you. However, if they actually throw it, you must catch it. ? Reporter Casey Curtis
