Give Nixon a break.
He came up with a plan where everyone took a 10 percent cut in pay. A millionaire would give up $100,000 and a person making $10,000 would cut $1,000.
The work load would not change and the employer would get more value out of the worker. Wages are a high cost for manufacturers.
More value from the worker would allow the manufacturer to reduce their price to gain more of the market share for their product and compete more evenly with foreign manufacturers.
This would also mean that for every 10 police officers, firefighters and teachers taking a 10 percent cut another could be saved from being laid off. This could create jobs as well.
This would benefit everyone but you because you would have to take a 10 percent cut as well.
