‘She is the library’
Dear Editor,
I would like to thank Miss Fran for her dedication to the children in this community.
She never lets anything get in her way or stop her! She is like a bright light in dark and unknown times. This is one woman who would do anything for anyone. Through the entire pandemic she did not stop spreading love and reading to our children.
When schools and libraries were shut down she brought joy into our homes with her Storytime with Miss Fran found on the Brandon Township Public Library Facebook page.
I have heard it said that, “She is the library.” Her heart is so big. Her love for these kids is unlike anything I have ever seen! We truly have the best of the best here in Ortonville and I am so grateful! Thank you so much Miss Fran for all that you do!
We citizens see you and love you! We can’t wait to see you in September when the Library resumes your classes!
Miss Fran you deserve the Outstanding Librarian Award every year!

Grace during power outage
Dear Editor,
This recent power loss was stressful for most of us. It did result, however, in moments of grace and generosity, for which we are very grateful.
First, our great neighbors, Brian, Anne and Theo Crawford went above and beyond by loaning us their spare generator and getting it up and running. Also, many thanks to Hill Heating and Cooling and C.E. Layman and Son for their quick response to our calls and helping us out. They all refused to accept any payment.
These were the angels who made this extreme inconvenience a whole lot easier to handle.
