Letting my mind wander a little longer

Wonder if any sports writer ever asks a referee or umpire who they favor? Sometimes it sure feels like favorites are getting calls.
Speaking of referees, the next time you see one giving the sign for loss of down, pay particular attention to the refs mouth. See if you detect a smile.

? Some time in 1953 I bought a used 16-mm movie camera and projector. I took 10 rolls of movies, about 3,300 feet, then going to slides in 1970. Before this Christmas, I had them put on a disc. A single disc. 90 minutes. The movie taking really got going right after son Jim was born in 1954. I swear the first 20 minutes of movies are of him getting a bath. It went over big this recent Christmas day, especially with our twin grandkids looking intently for confirming the boyhood.
