Local elementary students got to spend their spring break taking an imaginary trip to the land of wallabies and boomerangs.
Last week, the Oxford Public Library hosted daily activities related to the country and continent of Australia.
The kids did everything from crafting their own didgeridoos (a musical instrument) and boomerangs to making paper fish and creating aboriginal dot paintings, a traditional method by which Australia’s indigenous people expressed themselves and their ancient stories artistically. ? CJC
