Louise Saks Parliamentary Unit of Oakland County donated a copy of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised, 11th edition, and Robert’s Rules in Brief, to the Clarkston Independence District Library.
“We do this in memory of Linda LaMarre Meadors, who was a member of the Louise Saks Parliamentary Unit, part of the National and Michigan Associations of Parliamentarians,” said Gretchen Denton, president of Louise Saks Parliamentary United, at the Feb. 11 presentation.
Meadors, who was a registered parliamentarian, served as president of the Louise Saks unit from 2011-2013.
“She was an active member with a questioning mind, a good friend, and loving wife to her dear Ted, who lives in the Clarkston area,” Denton said. “We donate these books so that members of this community have access to the most widely used parliamentary resource that helps members of volunteer organizations have excellent, productive meetings in accordance with democratic processes.”
